Sand City is a tiny coastal community of about 400 people tucked between Monterey and Seaside along Highway 1. Most visitors arrive via the scenic coastal route or Highway 68 from inland Salinas. Despite its small size, the city hosts several major furniture retailers that attract shoppers from across the Monterey Peninsula.
