Sancton is a Yorkshire Wolds village just off the A614 between Hull and York. Most visitors arrive via the A614, connecting to the M62 about 20km south. The village sits on rolling chalk downland with a drier climate than western Yorkshire. All Saints Church houses one of Yorkshire's most complete medieval wall painting collections, discovered during 1960s restoration work.
