Roughmussel occupies a residential patch of south Glasgow, sandwiched between Pollok and Nitshill. The M77 provides the main route in, with local connections via the A726 linking to Silverburn and surrounding areas. Glasgow Airport sits 15km northwest, whilst over 300 fast EV chargers serve the broader area. The name derives from the rough-textured mussels once found in local waterways before urban development.
