Rathdrum is a gateway town in Idaho's Panhandle, 20 miles northeast of Coeur d'Alene via Highway 41. Most visitors arrive from I-90 at Exit 12, connecting to Spokane or the lake recreation areas. The rolling forested hills experience warm, dry summers and snowy winters typical of northern Idaho.
