Potgietersrus

Potgietersrus, these days part of Mokopane, lies right on the N1 in the Waterberg, so it's an easy run up from Gauteng or down from Polokwane, about 58 km away. Locals nip over to Zebedeila or Mookgophong for day trips, while out-of-towners passing through on the way to Jericho or Secunda often stop over here. Keep in mind EV charging stops are still thin along this stretch of the N1. The real drawcard is the area's ancient baobabs, some reckoned to be over a thousand years old.
