Port Beaufort

"Port Beaufort is a tiny spot at the mouth of the Breede River in the Hessequa area of the Western Cape, just across from Witsand. Turn off the N2 at Swellendam onto the R319 and follow it down to the coast, it's the route most visitors use, whether coming from as far as Adelaide or closer trips like Suurbraak. No charging stations out here, so juice up in Swellendam first. Don't miss the Malgas pont, a hand-pulled cable ferry, one of the last still operating in the country."
