Oldshore

Oldshore perches on Scotland's far northwest coast in Sutherland, where Atlantic swells crash against some of the Highlands' most remote shoreline. This tiny crofting settlement sits near the legendary Sandwood Bay, famed for its pristine pink sands and towering sea stacks. Reaching Oldshore means following the A838 through Laxford Bridge, then winding single-track roads through Kinlochbervie - roughly 150 miles from Inverness. The hamlet actually splits into Oldshore Beg (little) and Oldshoremore (big), preserving ancient Gaelic naming traditions that distinguished neighbouring communities by their relative size.
