The A660 provides the main route from Leeds city centre, whilst the A658 offers an alternative via Pool. Leeds Bradford Airport sits 8km northeast. Popular with commuters heading to Leeds and day-trippers bound for the Yorkshire Dales, the area has excellent EV charging infrastructure. The village is famous for the Victorian Bramhope railway tunnel, which features distinctive castellated portals resembling castle gates.
