Ohrigstad

Ohrigstad ligt in a valley under die Drakensberg escarpment in Limpopo, right where die R36 connects Lydenburg down south with Hoedspruit up north through the Abel Erasmus Pass and Strydom Tunnel, a proper scenic drive. Locals pop through to Praktiseer or Pilgrim's Rest for supplies, while visitors from Gauteng cover the long haul via N4 and R36 to reach the Panorama Route and Kruger lowveld. EV charging is thin on the ground here, so charge up before you leave the N4. Nearby Mariepskop rises over 1900m, with a road right up to an old radar station overlooking the whole Blyde River valley.
