Mount Vernon, TX

Mount Vernon is a small East Texas town of about 2,500 people located on Interstate 30, roughly 100 miles east of Dallas. It's the Franklin County seat and sits in rolling hill country between the Piney Woods and Blackland Prairie. Most travelers pass through on I-30 heading to or from Louisiana, while locals use Highway 67 north to Sulphur Springs. The town is the birthplace of Eagles drummer Don Henley.
