Minera is a former mining village in the hills above Wrexham, reached via the A525 from the town center. The elevated position offers pleasant views across the Dee Valley, whilst the surrounding area provides over 70 EV charging points for electric vehicles. The village name derives from Latin, reflecting its lead mining heritage, and St. Mary's Church contains remarkable 13th-century wall paintings.
