Marydel straddles the Maryland-Delaware border along US Route 301, about 90 miles southeast of Baltimore and 85 miles south of Philadelphia. This tiny farming community serves as a waypoint for travelers on the Delmarva Peninsula, with rolling agricultural land stretching in all directions. The town's post office uniquely serves residents of both states from the same building.
