Marl Pits

Marl Pits lies between Pontefract and Wakefield in West Yorkshire, easily reached via the M62 (Junction 31) and A655, or the A639 from Wakefield centre. The former mining area sits on flat terrain typical of the Yorkshire coalfield, with around 190 EV charging points available locally. Former pit sites now serve as green spaces and industrial estates, marking the region's transition from coal extraction to modern development.
