Marietta is a tiny East Texas community near the Louisiana border, connected by State Highway 155 about 25 miles northeast of Marshall. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 20 through Marshall, then take US 59 north to Highway 155. The town sits in classic Piney Woods country with its humid climate and timber operations. The century-old general store remains the heart of this 277-person community.
