Mamre is a small West Coast town just 7 km from Atlantis, reached easily off the R307, which links up with the R27 and N7 for trips to Cape Town, Melkbosstrand, or Malmesbury. Most traffic here is local, though the odd long hauler rolls in from as far as Uniondale or Steinkopf. No EV chargers in town, so juice up in Cape Town first. The real gem is the old Moravian mission, founded in 1808, with its water mill and thatched cottages still standing along the main avenue.
