Lower Altofts is a former mining village between Wakefield and Castleford, easily reached via the A656 and M62 junction 31. The A639 provides east-west connections whilst the A638 links directly to Wakefield centre. With over 250 EV charging points nearby and Leeds East Airport 15 miles northeast, it retains its original miners' terraced houses from the early 1900s.
