About Lochanhead

Lochanhead is a small Dumfries and Galloway village about 8km northeast of Dumfries, reached via local roads off the A75. The A75 provides the main route for longer journeys between central Scotland and the Galloway coast, whilst shorter local roads connect nearby communities like Lochfoot and Beeswing. Around 24 fast EV charging points are available in the wider Dumfries area. The village's name recalls a small loch that was drained years ago for farming.
