Knocknagree is a small village perched in the hills of northwest Cork, 15 kilometres from Millstreet and 40 kilometres from Cork city. You'll reach it via the N20 to Mallow, then the R576 through Kanturk, or from Killarney take the N72 east to Millstreet and follow the R577 north. The village sits in elevated Blackwater Valley country, connected by winding secondary roads through stone walls and hedgerows. Despite its size, Knocknagree punches above its weight in GAA circles, with its hurling club producing several county players.
