Kilmeedy

Kilmeedy sits in County Limerick's countryside, about 35 kilometers southwest of Limerick city. This small rural community lies where the Golden Vale meets the rougher terrain of west Limerick. The R518 provides the main route from Limerick through Newcastle West, while drivers from Cork take the N21 north through Abbeyfeale. The village is known for its Catholic church with an unusual 12th-century round tower, one of the few medieval round towers still standing in County Limerick.
