Indian Head Park is a small Cook County suburb about 20 miles southwest of Chicago, home to nearly 4,000 residents. Take I-55 southwest from the city to La Grange Road, or use Route 83 for north-south access. Chicago Midway Airport is just 8 miles away. The village sits along the Des Plaines River valley under a canopy of mature trees, and gets its name from a distinctive boulder that early settlers thought looked like a Native American profile.
