Horse and Jockey

Horse and Jockey sits bang in the middle of County Tipperary where the M8 meets several regional roads, making it a handy stop between Dublin and Cork. You're looking at about 140 kilometers south of Dublin or 90 kilometers north of Cork, right in the heart of the Golden Vale's fertile limestone plains. From Dublin, take the M7 southwest to Portlaoise, then merge onto the M8 for another 40 kilometers. Coming from Cork, it's a straight shot north on the M8 for about an hour and a half. The village has around 19 fast charging stations, perfect for electric cars on the busy Dublin-Cork run. The place gets its name from an old coaching inn where travelers used to change horses at this very crossroads.
