Higher Broadhalgh

Higher Broadhalgh is a small residential area on elevated ground just outside Blackburn, offering pleasant views across the Ribble Valley toward the Pennines. Easily reached via Junction 3 of the M65 from Manchester (45km) or the A59 from Preston (20km), it provides convenient access to both local amenities in Blackburn and major motorway networks. The name itself tells the story - "halgh" is old Lancashire dialect for a hillside meadow.
