3About Harding
Harding is a farming town in southern KwaZulu-Natal, near the Eastern Cape border, sitting among dairy and timber country not far from the Umzimkulu River. The R56 links it to Kokstad and Ixopo, while the R612 takes you coastward to Margate, 88 km off, a favourite weekend drive. Locals nip between Clydesdale, Umzimkulu and Bizana daily, all under an hour away. Fill up before you arrive, EV charging is basically non-existent here. Named after a Natal judge, Sir Walter Harding, the town still runs on cattle and timber, just as it always has.
