Haralson is a tiny Georgia town of about 200 people in Coweta County, roughly 45 miles southwest of Atlanta. Take I-85 south to Newnan, then Highway 34 west for 12 miles to get there. The main route through town is Highway 34, which connects Newnan to the Alabama border through rolling farmland and former peach orchards. The town is named after Hugh Anderson Haralson, a 19th-century congressman who also gave his name to a variety of apple once grown throughout the area.
