Hackett is a small Arkansas town of about 1,100 people right on the Oklahoma border in Sebastian County. Highway 45 connects it north to Interstate 540 and Fort Smith, about 20 miles away, while Highway 253 runs east-west through town. Most traffic is local commuting to the Fort Smith area, though some use these roads as quieter alternatives to the interstates.
