Gulberwick

Gulberwick lies 6 kilometres south of Lerwick via the A970, Shetland's main road. This small coastal settlement enjoys a sheltered position on Mainland Shetland's eastern shore, with the North Atlantic tempering what might otherwise be severe northern conditions. Electric vehicle drivers will find roughly 20 fast chargers in the Lerwick area. The community's name derives from Old Norse "gul" meaning yellow, referring to the distinctive golden lichens that coat local stone walls.
