Gristhorpe

Gristhorpe lies on the A1039 between Scarborough and Filey, easily reached via the A64 from York or the A165 coastal route. The village sits close to several seaside resorts and connects to the broader Yorkshire road network through these main arteries. The area's most remarkable feature is its Bronze Age burial site, where archaeologists discovered a 4,000-year-old oak coffin containing an ancient chieftain's perfectly preserved remains.
