Gibsonburg is a farming community of 2,500 people in northern Ohio, about 30 miles southeast of Toledo via State Route 20. The town sits on flat agricultural land with a continental climate. Most visitors arrive on Route 20 from Fremont or Toledo, while Route 635 provides north-south connections. The city has operated its own municipal electric utility since 1896, making it one of the few remaining locally-owned power companies in northwest Ohio.
