Froid, MT

Froid is a small farming town of 324 people in northeastern Montana, 15 miles from the Canadian border on US Highway 2. Most visitors arrive via Highway 2 from Wolf Point (25 miles west) or Williston, North Dakota (60 miles east). The town sits in rolling wheat and cattle country with a continental climate. It's named after the French word for "cold" by settlers who experienced their first harsh Montana winter here.
