Exelby

Exelby is a small North Yorkshire village on the A684, five minutes from the A1(M) at Leeming Bar. Most visitors use it as a convenient route between the motorway and Bedale or the Yorkshire Dales. The flat agricultural setting offers wide views across the Vale of Mowbray toward the Pennines. St. Bartholomew's Church contains remarkable 12th-century carved stones showing biblical scenes.
