Emerson, GA

Emerson is a small city of about 1,500 people in northwest Georgia's Bartow County, about an hour north of Atlanta via I-75. Exit at Highway 293 (Exit 296) and head west into town, with Highway 113 running through the city center connecting to Cartersville and other local communities. The area features rolling hills and a humid subtropical climate. Cobb County International Airport-McCollum Field sits about 20 miles southeast for general aviation. The city sits near Red Top Mountain, a former iron mining site that gives the nearby state park its name and distinctive reddish soil.
