Eagle Pass sits on the Rio Grande across from Mexico, serving as a major border crossing. US Highway 277 connects north to San Antonio (140 miles) while US 57 runs east toward Laredo. Most visitors arrive via I-35 from San Antonio, then take US 57 west. The city handles significant cross-border trade and features the world's largest kickball in Shelby Park.
