Dromahair

Dromahair sits where the River Bonet meets Lough Gill in County Leitrim, easily reached via the R287 from Sligo city 20 kilometers northwest or Manorhamilton 15 kilometers southeast. Most visitors drive up from Dublin on the N4, turning north at Collooney for the final stretch through farmland, making it a grand spot for weekend breaks from the capital. The village centers around the ruins of a 12th-century O'Rourke abbey, where Gothic arches and carved stone windows still rise from well-kept grounds beside the river.
