Dove Creek, CO

Dove Creek is a small farming town in southwestern Colorado's high desert, sitting at nearly 7,000 feet elevation as the Dolores County seat. US Highway 491 runs right through town, connecting north to Utah and south to Cortez about 45 miles away. Most visitors arrive from Cortez, which links to Mesa Verde and the Four Corners area. The town calls itself the "Pinto Bean Capital of the World" due to its massive local bean production.
