Dewey-Humboldt, AZ
Dewey-Humboldt is a high desert town of 4,500 people sitting 15 miles east of Prescott at 4,400 feet elevation. Most visitors reach it via Highway 69 from I-17 (Exit 278), then east on State Route 169. The cooler mountain climate and juniper-oak landscape make it a pleasant stop between Phoenix and Flagstaff. It became Arizona's newest city in 2004 when the historic mining communities of Dewey and Humboldt officially merged.
