Delmas

Delmas is a Highveld dorpie about an hour out of Joburg on the N12, right in the heart of maize and coal country. Ekurhuleni folk pop through often on quick runs to Springs or Benoni, while long-distance drivers pass by heading to Secunda, Mokopane, or the Lowveld. EV charging options are still thin on the ground here, so plan ahead. History buffs will know it as the town where the famous Delmas Treason Trial played out through the 1980s.
