Daggakraal

Daggakraal, close to the Mpumalanga and KZN border, is best reached via the N11 through Volksrust, just 31 km off. Locals bounce between Wakkerstroom, Charlestown, and Volksrust for the daily grind, while visitors trek in from as far as Bethlehem, Pietermaritzburg, and even Bizana. Ermelo and Newcastle airports are about 85 km out, and with EV charging scarce round these parts, best juice up in Newcastle before the final stretch. Fun fact: Daggakraal was one of the few spots where Black farmers held onto their land after the 1913 Land Act.
