Cotehill

Cotehill is a small Cumbrian village 8km southeast of Carlisle in the Eden Valley. Reach it via the A689 from Carlisle or Junction 42 of the M6. The village sits between the Lake District and Scottish borders, with Carlisle Lake District Airport nearby. It's perfectly positioned for exploring Castlesteads Roman fort, where you can visit the excavated remains of a Roman bath house that once served Hadrian's Wall soldiers.
