Clifton is a small farming town in east-central Illinois, about 90 miles south of Chicago in Iroquois County. Take I-57 to the Route 17 exit and head west 8 miles to reach downtown. The town sits on rolling prairie surrounded by corn and soybean fields. The restored 1907 railroad depot downtown now houses the visitor center and local museum with original wooden benches.
