Cilfynydd lies in the Taff Valley between Pontypridd and Abercynon, accessible via the A470 trunk road. The former mining village sits about 15 miles north of Cardiff, making it popular with commuters, whilst the M4 connection lies 10 miles south. Over 150 EV charging points serve the area. The village boasts one of Wales' rare natural thermal springs at nearby Taff's Well, maintaining 21°C year-round.
