About Canonmills

Canonmills is a residential pocket of north Edinburgh, sitting between the city centre and Leith along the Water of Leith. Reach it via Dundas Street from Princes Street, or use the A900 for connections to Stockbridge and Warriston. The A902 heads east toward Leith, whilst the A90 bypass provides access for longer Highland journeys. The neighbourhood retains its historic name from the water-powered mills that once forged cannons for Edinburgh Castle.
