Caldewgate forms part of Carlisle's northern suburbs, sitting where the A7 enters England from Scotland. The M74/A74(M) provides the main long-distance connection, whilst local routes serve the A69 to Newcastle and A595 to the coast. With over 50 fast charging points nearby, it's well-equipped for electric vehicles. The area lies close to Hadrian's Wall, with Roman bath house remains visible at the nearby Castlesteads fort site.
