Caeffynnon forms part of Aberystwyth's urban sprawl in Ceredigion, just 2km from the university town center. The A487 coast road provides the main route through the area, with the A44 and A485 offering connections inland toward the Cambrian Mountains. Local traffic flows between nearby villages like Llanbadarn-fawr and Penparcau, whilst longer routes serve tourists heading to Pembrokeshire or north Wales.
