Bellville, GA

Bellville is a tiny farming community of 171 people in southeastern Georgia's Evans County. Drive US Highway 280 west from Statesboro (25 miles) or east from Vidalia (15 miles) to reach town. State Route 292 connects north to Claxton. Most trips are short local runs between small towns, though US 280 continues to Savannah and Dublin for longer regional travel. Freight trains still roll through on the old Seaboard Air Line Railroad tracks.
