Balranald

Balranald lies on North Uist's Atlantic coast in the Outer Hebrides, reached via Benbecula Airport (20km south) or ferry connections. The A865 provides the main route from the airport northward, with local roads branching west to this remote crofting settlement. The area features the RSPB Balranald Reserve, where corncrakes breed in traditional hay meadows.
