Balachuirn

Balachuirn sits on Raasay, reached by CalMac ferry from Sconser on Skye. The A87 brings you to the ferry terminal from Portree or the Skye Bridge. Single-track roads connect the island's scattered settlements, with Balmeanach 3km away and Inverarish 6km south. The 15th-century ruins of Brochel Castle command spectacular views across the sound.
