Annacurra

Annacurra is a small Wicklow village on the R747 that's handy for exploring the county's hill country. It's about an hour from Dublin via the M11 and Rathnew exit, then through Rathdrum. The village gives you easy access to several championship golf courses including Coollattin and Woodenbridge. What sets it apart is being the birthplace of Charles Stewart Parnell, the famous 19th-century politician, with a monument commemorating his ties to the area.
