Altha, FL

Altha is a small north Florida town in Calhoun County, reached via State Road 71 from Blountstown (15 miles south) or Marianna (25 miles north). Most out-of-town visitors drive from Tallahassee in about an hour via US 90 west to Marianna, then south on SR 71. The area features rolling hills unusual for Florida, with pine forests and farms. The town's historic general store has operated continuously since the early 1900s.
