Ackergill

Ackergill perches on Caithness's northeastern coast, three kilometres north of Wick via the A99. This small coastal village commands dramatic views across the Pentland Firth to Orkney, with the A9 providing the main trunk connection south to Inverness. Wick John O'Groats Airport serves the area, whilst roughly seven EV charging points operate locally. The village's crowning glory is Ackergill Tower, a magnificent 15th-century castle rising straight from the rocky shore.
