Idaho Falls, ID

Idaho Falls is southeastern Idaho's largest city, positioned where I-15 and US-20 intersect along the Snake River. The location makes it a natural hub for travelers heading to Yellowstone (90 miles east), Salt Lake City (200 miles south), or Pocatello (45 miles north). At 4,700 feet elevation on the Snake River Plain, winters bring snow while summers hit the 80s and 90s. The city's name comes from man-made waterfalls on the Snake River, created by an early 1900s dam that still generates power today.
